East Coast Z Association-Porter Nissan Car Show

The East Coast Z Association in conjunction with Porter Nissan will hold a Fall Car Show on Saturday, October 9, 2010. The show will take place at Porter Nissan located at 303 East Cleveland Ave, Newark, DE 19711. The show will begin at 11:00 A.M. and will last until 2:00 P.M. Judging will be �Dealers Choice�.

Come out and celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Nissan Z Car. For more information, please email Patrick McCall at pats300zx@aol.com. You can also visit the ECZA web site at ECZA.org for updates as the event draws near.

Food and drinks will be provided by Porter Nissan. Porter Nissan is a GTR certified dealership and all Nissan GTR's are invited to attend.

Hey

I live in New Zealand, And I own a 1997 R33 GTST with and RB26DETT GT-R engine transplant RWD, RHD Nissan Skyline. I am currently looking at selling this car but our market for these has slowed down in New Zealand due to our economy. I am now looking at exporting it to the mainly Canada but possibly USA.

I understand that these cars are very hard and costly to get legalized in Canada and the USA (Atleast until 2012 in Canada), But am curious to see how much interest people have anyway. The car has had over 30,000 USD spent on it 'aftermarket' inc modifications, including $7000 USD I have personally spent on it. It has done 42,000 KM (dnt know what that is in miles, probably like 28000 or something).

I want to sell the car for around 16,000 USD excluding shipping costs etc. I think this would be appealing to Canadians considering it would only have to be garaged for one year until its legally allowed to be driven on the road (as far as i know). At the moment it has only been tuned to around 400hp, it would be up to you to do your own tuning to get it up to whatever you want.

Hello Folks.. !!!

Got my new GTR 2010 it had 120 miles when i got it...
Its stupid to say its extremly fast. Its a Bazooka.. a Torpedo.. its Beast .. its Godzilla..
its RED color... Missile on 4 wheels..

I also have a Honda S2K (has 35K miles on it) its FUN car to drive.. I thought of trading my S2k.. but i like it so much.. i felt emotional and cud not sell it.. going to keep both the cars..

Folks !!! I am not a car guru.. donno know much.. All i know is How an IC-Engine works. studied in my Physics.. :) .. But i can drive.. ok.. I drive a S2000 and drove a SUPRA earlier.. they are fast... But GTR is way toooooooo fast..

I got the GTR for 80,500 base price.. Total 92,000 includes 6yr warranty.. was it a good deal for New 2010.. GTR ?

I didnot bother to shop .. for 2011 GTR.. the moment i saw the car i liked it and got it.
Same thing with my Hondas2k.. spur of the moment i got the car 3 years ago..

2011 GT-R after market exhaust advice

Recently purchased a GT-R and loving it. I am looking to possibly get a new exhaust for sound and hp.

If price is no object which exhaust system would you suggest? Also, what needs to be done to accept a new exhaust system? Note, I know almost nothing about cars :confused:

Anyone found good seat covers?

Hey all I am trying to find some good quality seat covers for my 2011 GT-R. Anyone have any luck with some snug fitting and high quality covers? Nothing seems to fit all that well that I ran across at the local shops.

Hi,

Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Ed Kornegay and I�m the President of Checkered Flag Racing Association (CFRA). We are a private non-profit organization that organizes track and social events for our membership. We sponsor 6 or 7 track events each year at all Northern California tracks. We offer open track sessions as well as Time Trial Championships and Exhibition Race Championships.

I�m not posting to try and convince you to switch your open track club. There are many excellent track clubs that who merit your support. I�m here because we need a few cars to represent your mark in our completion program. We have a few of everything but we don�t have any GTRs competing. I have read countless articles on the tack performance of a GTR so I�m asking if I can have at least one person to represent the model.

I assume that the GTR will compete in our highest class, it was won last year by a street legal C5 Z06 with a T1 suspension. This year it�s being won by a C6 Z06 driven to the track. I would like to think that the GTR would be competitive against these cars.

CFRA prides it�s self on having various makes and models compete in a friendly and safe environment. I do realize that timed completion will only interest a small minority of car owners but my goal is to find one or two willing to participate. Classing is done by power to weight and tire selection. All other modifications are at the discretion of the owner. We have 5 classes with and average of 3 to 6 cars competing in each class at any single event. The driver amassing the most season points will receive an appropriate award at the end of the season.

To participate in the championship a driver must have a minimum of 10 previous days of track experience. That can be with any organization. They must also put an AMB transmitter in their car so that the computer at timing and scoring can record their lap times. If you lack the 10 days experience and would like to work towards competing, we would be happy to work with you towards that goal. No additional safety equipment is required for the timed competition.

There is also opportunity to join the exhibition race championship but that is another topic. If you have any additional questions, please post your question here. You are also free to write me at president@cfra.net or visit our web site at www.cfra.net � Please note that a lot of our competition content is not viewable to non-members. We don�t like insurance companies to see who may be competing.

Our next event is at Laguna Seca on Thursday September 16th. All events are only 3 run groups with 30 cars per run group. Those in attendance receive 2.5 hours of track time. The early registration price is $195.

We have the track Saturday evening from 5:30 � 8:30 pm booked, cost will be $79 of prepaid. No groups at Shannonville Full Track lapping

We will have a short briefing prior to getting out on the track, followed by a few warm up laps, then lapping for the rest of the day. "Lapping" refers to just that, doing laps. Passing is STRICTLY prohibited except on the back straight, and only when the person in front of you has allowed you by signaling you to pass. We reserve all rights to kick people off the track that are driving dangerously and/or aren't listening to track marshalls.

For those that have never been to the track, we encourage you to try it out, even if you're still on stock/all season tires (they'll suck, and burn up quick, but it's still fun)

Hello all drivers,

We would like to setup a Mosport DDT lapping event for our drivers and friends.
All Beginners are welcome!

Now, We're starting to build a list for the track day signup on the September 5th.

We have the track Sunday September 5th, from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm booked, cost will be $99 prepaid for each participant.

We will have a short briefing prior to getting out on the track, followed by a 2 or more warm up laps, then lapping for the rest of the day. "Lapping" refers to just that, doing laps.
