Depreciation of GT-R

What are people's thoughts regarding the depreciation of the GT-R? Considering its super car performance but Nissan badge, I'm curious how the numbers would balance out.

I've never owned any of my cars for longer than 3 or 4 years, so I'm trying to get a feel of what to expect. I would imagine due to the limited production and exclusivity, the resale prices will remain somewhat inflated for the first few years; but what of residual value from a strictly finance-department-calculating point of view?

Exotic Car Depreciation:
The topic of exotic car depreciation is one of those ugly truths no one wants to talk about -- at least no one who owns an exotic car...

If the GTR is like the Z06 it will depreciate. The Z06 starts at 72k and have seen some 07-08 with 7k miles going for 63-65k at CARMAX. I hope the GTR depreciates like the Vette .

I would tend to agree with this, but may slightly better than a vette. Certainly nothing like typical exotics. More on par with 911s and vettes. The way you could get hosed is by paying way over msrp

I don't hope the GTR depreciates like the vette, I just hope the guy I buy the GTR from thinks that it depreciates like the vette.

Yea the Z06 are getting hit big time right now. There is a forum dealer on the vette site that is selling brand new 1lz 08 Z06 for 62k. and it still has not sold.
