GTR- old or new?
Ok, so here is the situation: You have $50K to spend on a single car. Do you spend the money on a 1995 Skyline GTR, or wait for the much anticipated GTR to be realeased in the states??

The 2008 GTR is estimated to sell for 70K+...

Yes, I know that, but $50K would make a nice down payment and lower your monthly payments considerably now wouldn't it????

I would think that an R34 would have been a better option! Perhaps an R34 GT-R V-spec II Nur. Now that would have made me think....!
To be honest, the R33 is the least popular GT-R of the R32-R33-R34 releases, so for me, the decision was an easy one to make. The upcoming GT-R.

well
Well, the question is actually posted b/c that is my dilemma, well almost. I am working towards saving money in the range of $50K for a skyline. However, I am torn between the R33 and the new GTR. I like the R34, however, the body kits options for the R33 are alot more promising than the R34, and for all intents and purposes, all three cars are just about the same on the performance end, except for minor advances. And if you plan on modifying the car anyway, the minor advances barely come into play. So my question is really, should I choose the R33 and possibly have a headache trying to legally obtain one, or should I bide my time and wait for the new GTR to be released??

well imo, definetly the 1995 gt-r, the new proto, doesn't have the awesome looks of the old one's, it looks really ugly to me.

A lots of GT-R's and also Skylines at my place here .. but i will go for the R32 or the R33 version. The physical of GT-R proto is too cyber looking and very modern .. a GT-R should look fierce and not lazy.

Well, I owned a 97 GTR and will probably at some point own a new one. The R33 is a great car and it does many thing spectacularly, however it lacks the refinemendt many expect for spending that sum of money. I would put it on par with an STI in that respect. The new one promises to be far more refined and modern at a greater price tag (probably approaching 80) and also most likely heavier. It really depends on what you are looking for and how soon you want it.
